Foresight is delighted to join Climate Neutral’s consulting network, working alongside Climate Neutral to offer certification consulting services to brands who want to become Climate Neutral Certified!

Here's a more in-depth look at the certification and how we can help.

What is Climate Neutral?

Climate Neutral is an independent non-profit whose mission is to eliminate carbon emissions by prioritizing climate neutrality for businesses and consumers.

All certified companies must quantify, reduce, and compensate for all greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing and shipping products and services. Each company's emissions totals, reduction goals, progress, and compensation projects are made available on Climate Neutral's public database.

By certifying companies and labeling products with an easy-to-recognize, clearly defined standard, consumers can confidently choose products manufactured by companies pursuing carbon reduction. To date, there are 322 certified companies.

Why pursue a Climate Neutral Certification?

Your customers, employees, and investors are looking for you to take action. The Climate Neutral program helps you accelerate a credible climate plan and effectively communicate with your stakeholders and consumers through a recognizable label for your brand and products.

Climate Neutral Certified is a rigorous, peer-reviewed standard that is managed independently, designed for impact, and trusted globally by hundreds of organizations. Whether you're a sustainability pioneer or just starting, you can join the movement. This certification applies to all companies that make products or provide services and want to be transparent and achieve carbon reductions.

What makes Climate Neutral different?

For consumers, the Climate Neutral Certified label simplifies where to leverage their purchasing power, helping them navigate to companies that align with their values.

Ultimately, Climate Neutral doesn't just want to certify companies and label products; it seeks to drive decarbonization and climate action through accountability and transparency. Climate Neutral is working to create the world's most recognized and trusted climate label, paired with accessible, action-focused tools and resources for all businesses to engage.

How to get Climate Neutral certified?

Climate Neutral requires that companies measure GHG emissions and reduce value chain emissions by developing and implementing Reduction Action Plans (RAPs) over 12-24 months. They provide a measurement tool called the Business Emissions Evaluator (BEE) to help companies measure Scope 1, 2, and Scope 3 emissions from raw materials through to the sale of the final product. The tool is also helpful for filling data gaps and identifying GHG reduction opportunities within your operations and value chain. Climate Neutral also helps companies choose high-quality, verified carbon credits and removals. Certified companies become part of a community focused on decarbonizing their operations and value chain.

Can I get this certification on my own?

Climate Neutral does provide a wide range of tools and volunteers to guide and support your certification. Climate Neutral also recognizes the benefit of outside expertise and has built a network of outside partners to support companies pursuing the certification. With an Open Certification partner, like Foresight, you’ll get individualized support, a more streamlined process, and a team of experts collecting, analyzing, and validating your data. Sustainability and energy data is collected in our software, providing your company powerful visibility into other areas of potential impact. With the support of Foresight, your Climate Neutral Certification will be just the beginning of your journey!
