Whole Building Embodied Carbon Analysis
This service cluster is about doing more with less. Historically, operational energy accounts for seventy to eighty percent of an existing building’s total carbon impact. The remaining is associated with the embodied carbon of building materials. For new construction, that split is closer to fifty-fifty. To achieve a truly carbon-neutral (or carbon-positive) solution, project teams cannot get there by only addressing operational carbon. This service cluster provides design teams with the tools, resources, and data necessary to make real-time carbon-informed design choices in the service of zero-carbon solutions.
Services include: whole-building life cycle analysis, design for deconstruction planning, life-cycle cost analysis, and building end-of-life consulting.
